Japanese tech firm, Rakuten, has filed an antitrust grievance towards Apple with the European Commission. The grievance, which was filed by Rakuten’s e-book subsidiary, Kobo, claims that the US tech large wrongfully prices a 30% fee on each e-book offered by means of its iOS app. Kobo competes immediately with Apple’s personal digital books platform, Apple Books.
