New Delhi. Changes have been made in the rules for making passports by the Government of India. The new rule has come into effect from today i.e. 28 September 2022 across the country. In such a situation, getting a passport across the country from today will be easier than before. Let us tell you that till now the maximum time taken in getting a passport was in the approval of the Police Clearance Certificate ie PCC, due to which it took a long time to make the passport. However, now the Government of India has decided to reduce the delay in police verification, so that the needy people can get their passport made as soon as possible. Verification can be done from post office
After the implementation of the new rules of passport, from today, online application for passport verification can be done. This can be accomplished through all the online Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs). In fact, for the last few months, the demand for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for making passports has been increasing continuously. In such a situation, the option of passport verification from the Online Post Office Passport Seva Kendra has been given by the Government of India.

Why clearance is necessary

When you apply for a passport, your documents are verified. Along with this, physical verification of these documents is also done. Meaning the police visits the address you mentioned and goes there and finds out on your document. Apart from this, gets information about you from around. The same makes a report regarding the criminal report.

With the change in the rules for making passports, passports will be made soon. In such a situation, it will be easy for those who visit abroad for jobs, teaching and traveling or for any other work.
