Sega announces Virtua Fighter esports project

Sega introduced a brand new Virtua Fighter venture throughout a Tokyo Game Show livestream on Friday, however the nature of that venture isn’t but clear. Sega’s calling it “Virtua Fighter x esports.”

What is evident is that Sega didn’t explicitly announce a brand new Virtua Fighter sport (i.e. Virtua Fighter 6). On the project’s official website, Sega says Virtua Fighter “will be restarted as an esports title to commemorate the 60th anniversary of SEGA’s establishment.” A teaser video exhibits principally footage of Virtua Fighter preventing sport tournaments and ends with a shot of Akira Yuki, the face of the preventing franchise.
