Watch the trailer for horror-thriller Becky, with a villainous Kevin James

We’d been hoping Kevin James had extra in him than countless comedy roles, and these days, he’s been proving his dramatic chops within the brief movies on his YouTube channel. Hopefully, the upcoming film Becky will cement the concept that he’s extra than simply Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

Becky stars Lulu Wilson because the titular character, a 13-year-old woman who has had bother coping together with her mom’s demise. What was meant to be a bonding journey for her and her father (Joel McHale) turns into an emotionally prickly one when her father’s new girlfriend (Amanda Brugel) tags alongside. Things grow to be much more sophisticated when a bunch of criminals led by Dominick (James) stage a jailbreak and present up on the trip home’s door.

Dominick, who has a swastika tattooed on the again of his head, is terrifying within the trailer. So far, so good, Kevin James. The movie’s plot comes off as barely The Book of Henry-esque, although, as Becky is left to save lots of the day by her personal violent units.

Becky will probably be obtainable in theaters, on digital and on demand on June 5.
