Xiaomi Mi TV 4 with 4K HDR Display Launched in India: Take a Look
Smartphone and electronics company Xiaomi today unveiled its newest product category in India – the 55-inch Mi TV 4, a Smart LED TV. The television was announced at the end of the event which also saw the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro launched. The Mi TV 4 is priced at Rs 39,999 for the Indian market, and will be available starting February 22 at Flipkart, mi.com and MiHome.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 model launched in India sports a 55-inch LED display panel with a 4K (3840×2160 pixels) resolution and HDR support. The 60Hz panel offers a viewing angle of 178-degrees and has a response time of 8ms, the company said. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Amlogic Cortex-A53 SoC clocked up to 1.8GHz, coupled with Mali-T830 graphics. It bears 2GB of RAM and features 8GB of storage.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 55-inch model include three HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB (one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0) ports, an Ethernet port, an S/PDIF port, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 4.0 Xiaomi Mi TV 4 55-Inch Model With 4K HDR Display Launched in India.

At first glance, what catches your attention is how slim the TV is. At 4.9 mm in thickness, it’s definitely slimmer than your average smartphone. It took a good moment to appreciate the fact that the TV was slimmer than my iPhone X. In comparison, the iPhone X is 7.7 mm thick. Xiaomi has managed to get a slab of glass measuring 55 inches from corner to corner, and transformed it into a TV that displays 4K HDR video, with smart capabilities. All under 5mm.
